Hi ron,i thought i'd put the colours down as someone asked me once before about colours i use,i was'nt sure about the new GW range but i'm really happy with them now,the oil colours are the ones i always use for 90% of my painting,i did'nt use straight red at all in the project, all the brickwork was done with a mix of GW Jokero Orange + Doombull Brown.Well Brian ,had a look at your colours range for this one , Blimey was there a colour you didn't use
Ron

Many thanks stephan,i did originaly set out to do step by step painting on the bust like i did on the building but i fell behind with the project after falling ill and i was trying to catch up without giving any thought to taking pictures along the way,i will endevour to do this at sometime in the future, many thanks for your kind comentsThats awesome, you shoul do a step by step how to do that uniform.
Also awesome the idea to but him into a dio.
Thanks for that never seen it before.
Hi nick, the neat white on the edges is supposed to be a light frosting from the weather conditions, the rest of the fur inside was replicated as a dirty brown, the flaps have been painted in a light brownish colour (not white),the white is the frost / snow effectGreat work! But there is one thing fur color with earflaps most often was gray brown, gray-blue hacks but not white .
Hi tony, you know i love my weathering and dirt, were both of the same mind mate, glad you like it mateHey Brian, what a stunnimg bust and creative presentation. You've redefined the bustarama concept. I love the dirt and grime. It's not only visually interesting it really helps sell the idea that he's a veteran combat soldier. I love the realism and the setting. An outstanding example of bust painting at its best.
Thanks very much matt, glad you liked itWow Brian fantastic work on this bust. Simply brilliant, mate.
Cheers
Matt
