Guy,
I agree this piece lends itself very nicely to a box diorama...will be eager to see where your imagination take this...

Hope all is well

Thanks to all for their comments on the B-17 posting!

Hi, Titan...
Most of the colors used are Humbrol and Testors - Testors was used exclusively for the fuselage (Zinc and OD).

The leather flight jacket is no less than 6 various shades of browns and reds from Humbrol. Brown Bess, Red Leather, Tan, Orange, Red and Flesh. My thoughts on leather is that there is 'red' leather, such as jackets and some straps, and 'blue' leather, for dress shoes and dress belts.

The life vest was actually started in a Testors Grau (back side), and insignia yellow (front). All the white straps were completed in an aircraft light grey - I find using pure white to be too 'shocking' in such small scales. The white part of the US star insignia on the outer fuselage was done w/ the same white.

Finishing pastels were from QuarterMasters Depot (http://www.quartermastersdepot.com/)

Don't hesitate to ask if you have other questions...

Thanks,
Bruce
