I saw this on FB yesterday and commented that its great to see something out of the ordinary. However, I feel that this particular bust is let down by a lack of research regarding the British 1908 pattern webbing the figure is depicted wearing. There are several anomalies which, with a bit of research, could have been eliminated at the sculpt stage, but unfortunately, would be very difficult to correct on the actual castings.(y)

I took the photo at the time and joked with the fellow because he was in such a hurry to put the kit on that he didn't put it right I remember this very well it was 1918 and his football team has just scored a goal......
jokes aside I think it was with you I talked on FB about the not crossing on the back lets pretend (if it was possible) that it was a bad wearing of the kit due to some special circumstances (in real life sometimes it happens like trying to fire a rifle that has its security locked or not loaded) anyway taking in consideration the possible special circumstances it turns the bust into a unique piece. :)

Did a bit of a google found these , the first from Belgium Army Museum ....there is some doubt about the bracing straps over shoulder though , possibly might be Mills pieces used

Interesting subject , webbing on bust looks different to the '08 sets in pouch shaping

Be interesting to get the uniform colour close when painting as well

Happy benchtime
