Thanks Guy!

I didn't know what "5 o'clock shadow" meant until now :D

I've heard i've gotta add some grey to the base color and aply it very watered. Someone has another way to do it?

Cheers!

Daniel,GREAT job on the face (y) (y) ! As for the 5 o'clock shadow, perhaps you could try Jaume's method, which he so kindly illustrates in his face-painting article.Keep up the GOOD work ! Cheers.
Kenneth.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Jung, i'm sorry but i'm still learning (this is my first bust, my 3rd fig) so nothing to teach :)

I'll try to improve it tonight with some advices a friend of mine gave me.

I'll keep you posted :D

Daniel

Once again... i'm not very happy. I guess i feel more comfortable with smaller scales. With these large areas i have a lot of problems and i feel that i don't improve and i get angry  argh!

Daniel

The face looks excellent to me! The unshaved look really changes the character of the face.

The green looks a little too bright at this stage, but I guess it's just the basecoat.

Keep at it though. Acrylics are very hard to use on the larger scales but I still think you are doing an amazing job.

:)

Hey Dani esa barba esta genial compadre, no cabe duda cada pequeño rasgo que le vas agregando le va dando mas y mas vida a la pieza.

Keep the Excellent work !!
Cheers

He is looking great Daniel! The beard really brought out the details of the highlighting. I agree that the green is to stark, if you use the same mix, add some tan to it and some black to tone it down. That should give you a more faded green.

Looking forward to updates!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been quite busy the past two weeks upgrading the new forum at Lilliputmodel.com and some more things. I went to Leon Rampante at Madrid (my first show... outstanding!!), learnt a lot and bought a lot more of new figs... but i said to myself i have to finish this one first!!

So here's what i've done with his helmet. Needs some more weathering and details as new graphitties or so.

Comments plz :)

How can i simulate marihuana in the plastic bag??

Hey Daniel.
The Helmet looks great. I like the confederate flag on the helmet, nice touch.(y)

Marihuana, that's a tough one,how about using a little oregano. ;)

Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Roc. :)

Daniel,

Looking really nice. It does my heart good seeing the flag you painted, being from the heart of "Dixie". ;)

If you really want to try and simulate the bag. I would paint the bag a light green, kind of like the helment color but much lighter. Make it to look like you can see thru it. Then I would paint in the grass, ;) and then put on a thin coat/wash of burnt umber oil paint.

Finally i decided to glue all the parts to see how it looks. I saw some mistakes when i took the pics that are fixed now. I'm not happy with the green color of the uniform but my girlfriend doesn't let me to start it again... and i want, no, i need!, to start another fig

Hope you like it

He looks great Daniel.......if you still want to do something with the green.....put him aside and come back to him....the call of another figure is strong sometimes and we need to answer that call.

btw.....that cigarette looks so real in his mouth......love the 5 o'oclock shadow too. well done

Excellente!

I really like the flesh work. I like the gaunt look with the beard. The blue eyes really help the effect.
