Hi !!

This is my entry for November FOTM.

It is an Officer of the 2nd Punjab Cavalry, the famous Probyn´s Horse, at the time of the Indian Mutiny.

It is an old white metal figure in 60mm, one of the first sculptures by Antonio Zapatero Guardini, once commercialized by Corso models.

Painted with acrylics only. It allowed me to practice a little more of NMM techniques, so no metallic pigments were used.

Major of French Hussars, Metal Modeles, 54mm, white metal. I made something unusual with the ground, simulating that he crosses a stream during the thaw, the terrain was modeled with epoxy, the water is made with Solid Water by Deluxe Materials, and the snow with Micro Balloons, also by Deluxe Materials. All painted using acrylics. I made the splashes in the water with transparent glue by Supergen, it draws quite fast to model it, and keep the shape wanted. The tree trunks are natural, collected from the forests, gardens etc.

Post Militaire's classic 90mm Red Lancer, finished in oils over airbrushed acrylics.

Built 'from the box' with the exception of replacing the lance shaft with brass and replacing a couple of missing reins with lead foil.

I added a Napoleon III period button to the plinth that matches what he would have had on his uniform.
