Viking Bust, Yury Serebrykov

This is the latest piece from Yury Serebrykov. Viking bust, 200mm cast in resin.

The kit come well packed in a foam lined wooden box with sliding lid. All parts are contained in plastic bags

The bust consists of seven resin cast parts with three different option of head wear. Close inspection of all parts show a very good level of detail and high quality casting. There are no mould lines to remove only a very small mould block to remove off each part.

A close inspection of the front and rear of the bust shows the quality of the casting and the level of detail that has been sculpted into the face of the bust. The chainmail is very neat as are the straps and pendant.

Three options of headwear are included with the kit. The helmet has a separate facial guard with three small mould blocks that need to be removed.

Here we can see the optional headwear fitted.

The two hair braids need to have the mould blocks removed.

Conclusion:
Yet another first rate piece from Yury Serebrykov. Very high level of detail and very nicely cast. Minimal cleanup of all parts with only some small mould blocks to remove from each part. The option of having the three pieces of headwear allows you to display the face in full when not fitting the helmet with face guard.

Got mine yesterday, Cheers Steve, gotta say it's an absolute gem, the casting is, well superb actually, the engineering of it is incredible and the deep casting around the neck and shoulders area is out of this world, it's a shame Yury has decided to give up sculpting busts and concentrate on figures, he'll be back at it at some point.

Just a little pointer for anybody buying this, the little thin piece of cast resin attached to the lug on one of the hair braids is in fact the pin for the broach, so dont loose it
