Hallo.

A few weeks ago I started painting a great SGF Soldiers model - 90 mm Viking Hersir 8 th -9th C AD. Although the figure is great sculpted and cast, for some reason I find it a bit hard to paint. Maybe becouse this is my first 90 mm mini.
Anyway, I'd like to present my painwork. Trousers, tunica nad the chainmail are finished, but still to be weathered. Face and helmet are also ready, yet the nose protector is to be painted.

I hope You like it.
Comments and critiques are welcome.

Cheers

Robert, Carl - thanks for comments.

Robert - face is painted with oils, metal parts were polished and then shaded with oils, rest in acrylics.

90mm Viking

One of the best "Action" figures available IMHO.

Great start Simon and the face is excellent! Look forward to seeing the finished result.

Excellent start. One of my favorite figures as well. After seeing your start I may have to start mine. Please keep us posted on your progress.

Very nicely painted and the problems you have had definetely do not reflect in the finish, i like your colour choices for this one and it does look an exellent figure with its action pose.

Thank all of you guys very much :)
I really aprecciate your support, it's motivating me to do my best.
I'm going to keep posted, but do not expect next photos too soon, I'm a rather slow painting person.
Cheers.
Simon

So, it's been a while since my last post - mainly beacouse of figure's lack of cooperation .
This particular model definetly doesn't want to be painted :/
Anyway, I'd like to show you results of my struggle with this Viking.
I'm pleased with the way the leather parts look, but I'm not really happy with the coat. Buckles aren't ready yet.
