There's a wee story behind this bust. When i was in the middle of painting him,i unfortunately stepped on his helmet.I managed to piece it together ,except for the nasal guard ,which was beyond repair.
Fortunately Min from Youngs Miniatures is sending me another helmet,so i can now have a choice.
Nasal Guard ,on or off chaps?

Might weather his green garment with a few stains here and there Derek.

Would definitely work, think you could go pretty heavy on the staining.
Similarly the shield having that amount of damage should be pretty manky as well.
Oddly enough without the nasal he looks more Saxon to me, no special reason but if I was to see it cold I'd say Saxon.

Brian that's another beauty of yours my good friend. I would vote for no nose guard, it looks fantastic as it is.

Agree re the weathering/mankying for the shield nasal tough call really it looks fine without it and it's a bit different that way but it might look well with it, I am guessing the helmet that's in the pic is just pinned on for now so try the other, personally I'd leave well alone

The nasal guard comes seperate but unfortunately i had attached it to the helmet prior to the accident.Once i get the other helmet ,i can try it out, as the helmet is just sitting there with a bit of blue tack holding it on.I intend to weather him and his shield a bit more.Thank you guys for your comments.
It's not often that i'm very pleased with a finished paint job,but i like this one.It actually looks a lot better in the flesh.
