Hi
Has anyone ever built a Vinyl figure? I have a SOL 1/8 scale figure, and she is out of Vinyl. The parts don’t fit together very well, and I was thinking of heating it up to make it fit. Is this the best way, or are there other ways?
Thanks
Andy

As III corps said
I tried that some years ago with Star Trek for a friend... Lot of § !! * !!!
Hot water seem the best

Hey Andy
I always use a blow dryer to heat the parts for trimming and fitting. A little CA on the warm vinyl and everything attaches with no problems!
Cheers

Yeah, heat and vinyl models makes a good match. Although just a hairdryer can work okay I've read often that it's better to heat with hot water as you get a more thorough, uniform heating.

There's a whole other knowledge base for this material - e.g. filling the legs to prevent drooping - so it's well worth hunting around for some guides to working with vinyl figures (loads out there so you won't have any trouble finding articles) to get tips from experienced users.
