Like Steve said , I wish Leeds was closer . this sounds a great day out . I'm currently on my 5th book on the War of the roses period and finding that history is being turned on it's head once we get away from Shakespear's Tudor propaganda . Plus Leeds is one of the most fun places to spend a weekend anywhere in the UK and with the advances in medical sience that nasty rash is easily cleared up ;);) .
I'd love to be there guys but it's just a bit to far at late notice .

Hi chippy we have drugs that will clear up any little rash :( as said above you guys are always welcome. I have just found a guy who will do a talk on Napoleonic surgery. Hope to have him later in the year he just confirmed that he will do it. he gets dressed up in all the gear and has the tools and he makes it fun even if a bit gruesome .

Mick who is doing the talk on the war of the roses has also told me that he could do a battle field tour of Towton in the summer for those that are interested. I went with him the other day and have to say it's a great tour.

We have a back room visit to the armouries planed for next month to look at the Napoleonic equipment they have. this is a hands on visit which we have done before. last time it was looking at eastern arms and armour. it was a fantastic day. as you get to see and touch stuff that the public don't get to see.

So as you can see we have a lot of stuff going on. and of course the Xmas Bash lets hopwe you guys can make that.

cheers

At least my family come from the right side of the line (just):p. Don't forget to mention (for weekenders) that Leeds is the home of the Royal Armouries. That's a great day out on it's own(y)(y). Good luck with the talk:).
Best wishes, Gary.
