This was displayed by Ben Curry and was well admired, as it should have been. It didn't win an award on the day as the main philosophy of the day day is being there putting on a display of work and most importantly having a really good time.
There is an award given to the most popular entry in each category. Everyone votes for their own favourite piece and these are all tallied up to select the winner. In all the time we have run this system there has never being a winner that is not deserving of being so. As The Bash gets more and more top artists every year the winning of the single award gets harder and harder, but nobody leaves upset or dejected, as the day is built around a strong social theme, or think of it as a Christmas Party with ONLY like-minded people there.
Ben did win the best Bust on display, but the vignette was won by a scratchbuilt depiction of scenario of the Uruguayan Rugby Team plane crash in the Andes in the 1970s by Mark Haywood
