Just looking around on FB and saw this newly realeased and very nice figure from War & Peaces Miniatures. I'm sure this is going to be very popular indeed but Nap might have to add a few more medals! ;)

The sculpture is by Benoît CAUCHIES and the casting is done in FRANCE by Aurélien DIOT of Deep Space Factory.
Thanks to Philippe, Luc, Michel and the collectors who contributed to the elaboration of this project.
65mm tall, resin.

In fact this figurine represents Lieutenant Heurtaux.
Alfred Marie Joseph Heurtaux, also spelled Heurteaux, born May 20, 1893 in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) and died December 30, 1985 in Chantilly (Oise), was a French soldier, deputy and resistant.

An exceptional pilot during the First World War, he will total a record of 21 approved and 13 probable victories. Deputy of Seine-et-Oise during the inter-war period, he joined the Resistance after the defeat of 1940 and created the Hector network alongside Jacques Arthuys. Arrested in November 1941, he was first detained in Fresnes, then spent several months in various prisons in Germany before being taken to the Buchenwald camp in 1945. He was made a companion of the Liberation the same year.

Especially given excellent provenance from Luc - “brave beyond words” is on the money mate!
And grateful for the invaluable details shared by Martin.
Jean-Luc & Benoît will be grateful for this thread.

Today I received my first two figures from this firm and the figure is just jaw dropping : excellent sculpting, perfect casting and almost no mould lines to detect! Each figure came with a writting description what colour each piece should get. No box-art unfortunately.

I can strongly recommend these figures without any hesitation.

What figures did you get Gino?
David Lane has painted many & good reference for painting.
Jean-Luc will soon be adding these photos to his website too.

Hi Mike,

I've bought Tireur FM chauchat, autome/hiver 1916 (RF-RMLETC) and Brancardier français et son chien 1915 (RF-branc1) but I know I'll be bueying more of them as I had such a hard time choosing which ones I would buy first; I want them all. I hope to show some pics of my painting in the (near) future.

Cheers,

Gino

If you want to paint this guy, here are the details...:

The red insignia, like i wrote before is wrong, this is the insigna of the Spa 153
It's also a big bird "Gypaète " in French , in English "bearded vulture"

Heurteaux or Heurtaux was Spa 3 with also a bird in insignia the famous "cigogne", storks in english ![/quote]
