This one's for the wife!...
A long time ago, my missus actually bought me a figure as a Christmas gift. Pretty unusual, as she has always tended to avoid such things over concerns she'd buy something I wouldn't like. So, this particular year, I got the subject of this thread in my stocking. I was impressed with the gesture rather more than the figure, so it went into my GA, and there it stayed for a lot of years.
More recently, as the occasional recruit to the GA turned up, my dearest would gently remind me that she had bought me a figure once, and I'd never painted it. Eventually I was sort of shamed into digging it out and looking at it properly. Now everyone knows the Games Workshop/Warhammer 40k range and they are a bit like Marmite - love 'em or hate 'em. Until I gave this one a good check over, I was in the latter category. It is beautifully sculpted and extremely well cast in white metal, and I determined to give it a go.
So, over about a week I assembled and painted this critter, based on the box-art, and a thoroughly enjoyable exercise it was. The wife is suitably impressed
Here it is:
Chaos Demon Prince - scale indeterminate, cast in white metal by Citadel Miniatures under their Warhammer 40k banner. Possibly now OOP. Painted in Vallejo and Citadel acrylics. Base by Pete's Bases. Groundwork from the scrap box and Miliput. What d'you think?
Thanks for looking!
Phil
