These first three are nearing completion, a few more bits of gear and they are off to production. Figure four is not far behind, he's drying in the crock pot right now.

I have enjoyed this project so much, I started a 1/9th scale "Marine firing in Iraq" that I am going to try to get done for this years Chicago show!! Lots to scratchbuild on this one;)

I have to get on the O.I.F. USMC AAVP7/AFV crew next, along with the last set of 1/72 U-Boat MG'rs for Warriors.

Bill

Bill, I will 2 sets thanks. And any time you decide to do a few Aussies, put me down for them as well.
Very nice work mate.

Cheers Jason

Sorry for my comment Bill but Why do not put the evolution of this figures in a SBS in the Vbench forum?

I think this is a very valuable sample and now we must search more than a message for following the entire process.

Anyway, Awesome work (y)

Kinda agree with you Rafa......would make it alot easier to see each evolution of the figure Bill does.

OK, Vbench here we come!! I don't get a lot of time to learn this web stuff, to be honest, I never understood what exactly a Vbench was!! I think I get it now and will post some of my past sbs postings there.

Bill

Thanks Bill. If I can be of any help to you just let me know. I can move some of the older postings to your vbench if you like to keep them together?

Thanks to all. Yes Guy, please feel free to move any of my previous posts to my vbench, thank you for the help. VLS is getting so many inquiries about these first four figures that they may try to squeeze them into the release schedule very soon. Warriors will assign them numbers tomorrow (Wednesday) so we can start taking pre-orders for them this week.

I hope to have castings of these first three back by the end of this week, so I can get them painted up in time for the Atlanta show.

Thanks,

Bill

Can't wait to see the painted figures Bill. I'm working on a couple of little Marines myself, one is just about ready for his Marpat pattern to be applied.

Maybe I'll just wait to see yours. I don't want to be the first human to try to recreate Marpat in 1/35th scale. ;)

Hey Bill
Will the 1/9 OIF figure be released through Warriors also?? Looking forward to seeing that one.
Rob

Hello Rob,

Warriors has in fact expressed an interest in adding the 1/9 scale USMC O.I.F. figure to their line.

Bill

Excellent!!! I will be looking forward to it.
Thanks Bill.
Please let us see any progress photos and finished product.
