Hi guys just managed to finish this one. It is 54mm in resin and comes with a choice of hands one with the flag and the other with the musket.Have painted both but will probably go with the musket.

Cheers David

Beautiful painting Dave. It would be a hard decision of whether to use the musket or flag.....I like both.

Fantastic work!! Now that I have seen yours I really have to have this one too.
Thanks for sharing!

Best Regards

Peter

Thanks Marc,Peter,Carl and Maurizio for your kind comments. The tartan was all painted with acrylics first the red was finished and then the wide stripes and finally the fine lines, after which it was given a dark stain to tone down the whole effect. For anyone who wants one of these figures you can email [email protected] forgot to say that my version is for the box art.

Cheers David

Really awesome painting David i like a lot this figure , for my humble opinion with the flag the figure increases the character..

cheers

Man he looks good with both, I would have to vote for the flag but either one makes for a winner. Stunning piece of work you have done.

David, I know this is probably a daft Sasanach question. Why is the cross yellow, on the Saltire? I've had a look but can't find anything.
Cheers,
Carl.

I'm pretty sure the Stewarts of Appin carried a Yellow Saltire on Blue, lt's possible the Second Battalion of Atholl's Brigade carried a blue saltire on white. The First Battalion of the same brigade are known to have carried white colours with red saltires, I think these often reflected the colours of the chiefs / colonels arms. Or maybe it's because we scots are just a bit more rock and roll.

Derek

Thanks guys for all your encouraging comments, still haven't decided about whether to use the flag.Hi Derek you are spot on about it being the Stewart's of Appin colours rock on.

Cheers David
