I would love to see some cowboy figures especially mounted. Really I'd be happy to see any mounted figures, larger scale though like 90 mm or my favourite 120 mm.

I'd LOVE someone to do the 7 Samurai in 54mm...the new Andrea series is great but 75mm comes with a hefty price tag...
I'd also like to see some neat cop/law enforcement types, like 1920's beat cops, or prohibition agents or something gangsterish. I'd love to paint wingtips and suits....probably not going to happen.
To be fair, noone aside from DML has done 1SSF with that Johnson smg, and the fur parkas...that'd be neat too.

That's a great vid Colin but in fairness I prefer their opponents the mighty Winged Hussars! Another good mounted one wouldn't hurt surely ?
Of course there'd be winged hussars in my diorama.... they'd be casualties

Why not more austrians from 1866 ´til the end of the great war? There where so much beautiful uniforms in the K.u.k. monarchy!

What the, M.Moorecock character!... thats going back some years!... What I have noticed is that there are far more French & affiliated forces serving for France (Napoleonics), that any other!.. but both the 18 & 19th centuries offer a huge array of possibilities. 1 & 2nd Afghan, war. Crimea, .. Africa (Zulu), India.
I agree, Medieval could be re-approached.
A nice Commonwealth mounted WW1 would be nice.

I remember reading Elric, in the early 80's,... Storm Bringer, (Mourn-Blade) etc, great reads as a teenager, .. this stuff would be very impressive from 90mm+!... However, I then read LOTR,.. and that was it! nothing compared to it... which leads me onto the fact that only, Knights-Models, do this (lotr) stuff, which is very hit or miss, as regards quality!.. and your lucky to get even a full piece, judging by what the guys on here say!.. no doubt they will soon lose their contract.Thst's the man indeed Mark an entire of Moorcock figures would be spiffy really Imagine Count Brass on his horned horse in 120mm how great would that be ?
Now a 90mm+ Dwarf, Elf, Elric, Count Brass!..your right, that would be something.

I've been following this with some interest as to what people want etc.
From my part I seam to be ticking the relevant box's on a lot of subjects apart from those that are just not gonna happen.
The problem is this,,,,,,,if you folks dont buy them then they are going to be short lived and some ideas shelved before they even get off the ground.
I have been digging around a lot recently looking for different things etc,,,, take the afghan tribesman that was released from grenadier miniatures via my wife. Totally off the usual list, sculpted by one of the best and ok its doing ok but its not flying off the shelves. We got a feeling this was going to happen so have only one mould. The thing is more were planned,,,carl has the images/ideas but frankly they have been well and truley shelved.
I know we are in a recession and respect all that brings but if you want different to what you are already getting then you need to get behind those manufacturers that do try because if you dont they will stop.
I think WW1 is going to be popular, I personally will be looking into indian mutiny, AWI, Victorian british, Franco prussian and more. These will be spread through stormtroopers and grenadier miniatures especially.
Kits cost to keep in production and flops are very expensive. There are no longer margins available to absorb these ,,,,support those that are trying or all you will get is romans, knights , imperial guard and germans. Sorry but thats the cold hard truth.

I looked into this a while ago, and stand fully behind what Stu has said. Unfortunately, if you want kits mastered by the "greats," with high quality castings, ALOT of kits need to be sold to cover the costs of the master, the resin, and the time put in. This is no more apparent than the number of companies that have come and gone with obscure new releases.
In the end, it's a business, and noone wants to lose money, so while it'd be GREAT to have a kit of Ernest Hemmingway in the Spanish Civil War, I seriously doubt you'd be able to move enough units to cover the costs of say Mike Good, or someone mastering it.
On a more positive note, 2013 being the year of WWI sounds fantastic!

Maybe there is just too much on offer these days Stu!! and not enough Dosh to go around ,I know I now look very hard at what I'm going to buy at the moment "but you probably think that about me anyway
