Hello Guys,

I just finished a new figure.
My girlfriend is asking me where i shall store all the figures that are finished when i go on like a mad man on this hobby. I 've started it in april and i am now ready with my fifth.
Where will i be with my total over let us say five years.

Whell guys where do you store all your finished figure's.
It is gonna be helpfull to me, to keep love and peace in the house.

Marc

Hello Marc,
After 30 years of painting I have about 400 finished figures left. I have sold alot of my figures over the years and now keep the remaining in 2 Oak Display cases in my living room. I try to keep them dust free as possible, therefore, I purchased the two cases years ago just for this purpose. Maybe its time for your girlfriend to help you pick out some new furniture.....a curio cabinet to start with to house your ever growing collection. If you want, I can post a picture of the two cabinets.

Hi

I scored a glass fronted cabinet at a garage sale this summer.
Keeps the dust off them, and there's lots of space for me to fill with figures assuming I finish any..

I'm a very lucky guy and can display all my figures, vehicles and not finisching projects into the living room.
My workbench is also in the livingroom. My house is to small to have a room for modelling and display the stuff. It's likewise a modellingshop overhere when you take a lokk through the window.
On the pics you can see the cases I made if you want i can give you more details, but let's do it on the email and in Dutch, thats much easier for me

I have a similar display case like bert's one. It is though much wider (his 2 cases together), double height and depth. At the time being, half of it is bookcase and half for my figure displaying. It keeps the dust off my figures and it's handing a bit high on the wall, so little children can't reach it :p

Luckily, when I got married it was my wife's idea to move the display to the living room. It is housed in a nice oak curio, so that helps. I am also a member of a local club, which has two large display cases at the airport, one at the local hobby shop, and one at the Veteran's Administration hospital. Rotating displays through these cases gives us some relief on the storage problem, plus it gains some publicity for the club.

Here's mine, which I made myself, the doors have rubber seals to keep the dust out and there are small flourecent tubes at the top of each side behind difusers. I have another similar cabinet with a further 53 120mm figures in.

Hey guys,

Here is a picture of mine. It is a nice picture frame curio. Sorry about the smudge marks but my two little ones love to go and point out daddy's soldiers! :)

Here is the first case that holds about 200 figures. I bought these cases and bookcases years ago when I lived in Delaware while at an estate sale.

This is the second case which has the newer figures. The whole section wraps around a corner of the living room. It looks nice on the rare occasion that it has the lights on.

I thought it might be a good idea to collect all the members showcases for when another member wants to get some ideas to display his own collection or enlarge his collection. This way they will be right in my signiture 6 months from now if someone wants to see them

Its also the last link in my signiture below

Well Guy,

It was not my intention to start something like that. But i get a very good idea where to store my figures in.
My girlfriend saw all those "cases" and cabinets and make here idea off how it shall looks.
Maybe (i think that is gonna happen) tomorrow she wil buy something. Suddenly she's got to town tomorrow.
I let you know.
For now, thanks for sharing.

Marc.
