There's a Roman Fort children's interpretive place east of York.
My daughter went there with her class during primary school. They spent the day "living as Roman soldiers" and made a video for parents...

There has been Legions of children marching around the town centre for many years,shouting at the tops of their voices.It is run by the Deva/Dewa Roman discovery centre on Bridge street.
