I do not know if there is already a thread based on this question, so if one already exists I am more than happy for the moderators to merge this with the existing threads.

The thought appeared to me after reading the post about the crucifixtion of Saint whats-his-face (I forgot his name - which I read only 5 minutes ago so thanks for nothing memory) that some interesting products have been produced based on some beautiful paintings by various historical artists, but what would I want to see produced?

I came across this picture after reading about St. what-his-face, and I like it very much. Think it would make an interesting subject.
The painting depicts the mourning of the fall of Icarus

Love to hear your thoughts / ideas / inspirations...

I've recently gotten an Altores Studio knight taken from the famous Ghent Altarpiece by Jan van Eyck (1432) and would gladly see more examples of 15th Century painting put to miniature (like all the other characters in this retinue), however I won't touch on these until I've improved my painting substantially.

Also from Golem Miniatures their 80mm mermaid based on the famous Waterhouse painting which was inspired by the Tennyson poem, here beautifully painted by Donald Johansson.

I think more Pre-Raphaelite works could be made into miniatures. These would probably be of special interest to female modellers.

Comme d'habitude, my interests appear out of step with the majority.
In an ideal world, a French '75' and crew c.1914, and a Union artillery piece with crew from the civil war would both be nice.
In 54mm.
