Hi guys,
I'm thinking about picking up an enamel line. I'm very used to painting in acrylics and have recently started in with oils.
However, I'd like to be able to paint over the oil with some colors that I don't have to mix (hence the enamels).

These enamels will mainly be used on 30/50 mm scale tanks.
I've heard from people lauding and deriding floquil/humbrol enamels.
Which line do you guys prefer and why? Which do you think would be best for my purposes?
Cheers,
Sam

I am an oil - enamel man myself. I use tube oils over Humbrol basecoat for the flesh and Floquil enamels for all other aspects of the figure.

Floquil became my choice after trying all other enamels. Its thinner (less apt to clog detail..........good coverage. Floquil is now only available in Model Railroad colors so sometimes I go to my second choice - Humbrol. I've been using Floquil paints for 30 years.........its been good to me.

Another thing with Floquil is you have more time after applying to blend and shade colors together.
