Dear guys, after 10+ years (seriously) I've finally got this over the line. It took so long as I had a serious loss of enthusiasm for it. One of the worst kits I've ever had the misfortune to build. The quality of some of some of the parts is shocking. Much of the detail you see is actually painted on. I just like it though! The pose of horse & rider I found irresistible.
Anyway, thanks as always. I hope this helps somebody.

Much of this project was a real pig. It was fighting me at times. I'm so glad to declare it finished. I wouldn't mind, if you can still find one, last time I looked, it costs the thick end of £200! :woot:

Ten years, heck that's dedication you must really like it. Very nice paint job on one of the eras more colourful characters, I think this is wonderful piece. The cost though, what scale is it?

Cheers Simon

Hi Anthony

A massive round of applause...fair play to you , but what a aweful price for those that might want it , I wonder if it would be cheaper in Resin nowadays

Anyway you can breathe a sigh of satisfaction now

Nice presentation and painting on both horse and rider

It's 90mm Simon. I have one in the grey army if anyone wants to make me an offer for it?

Keith

Thanks for the offer Keith but 54mm is my upper limit for figures, even though some of them are closer to 65mm that and I cannot paint horses to save my life.

Cheers Simon

Lovely work on that one, looks great on display like that. Nicely done.
Considering his reputation, his life story and his role in Napoleon's army he is always one of the least ostentatious of figures whichever scale or pose you find him in.

Well done for completing the project, sometimes a model can be problematic, and throw problems at you.
You've persevered and produced a nice result. (y)
