First figure I have started since 2005. I have started painting this in Liquitex professional bottled acrylics with some use of Citadel inks and minimal Vallejos.

The face and bicorne lace are still underway but I thought I would post progress as I go.

Very good start, always liked this figure. Wish I bought it at the 2005 price..:)

Looks realy good, Colin.
I painted this figure in 2003. I enjoyed the work.
Looking forward to seeing this completed.

Thank you to all for the kind comments - is your painted version available to see anywhere Grenadier? I have looked all over and can find no other completed version of this figure. I lost the instructions to this large figure but I think I can put two and two together and arrive at the right configuration.

Thanks

Colin

I just dusted him off last week and restarted him, without stripping. At the same time as the 28mm wargame figures. I will post some updated pix when I make serious progress on him. It's a really nice figure. I also have a 90mm partially done almond or ceremonial mounted Manhes to complete. Thanks

Colin

Nice work Colin, I have this in the grey army so very interested in watching you progress on this one. Have you got the box art that goes with this Colin?, if not I can post on here

Keith

Somewhere I do have the art even though I long ago chucked the box. But feel free to post as other may lie to see it.

Scaled it down to size Colin....this is a cracker of a job on the face and bicorne.
I'm sure this will be followed with interest. I've got a feeling Naps are coming back.
Looking forward to next post.
Cheers
Derek

Seems you've gone into full on hyper-production mode... This is a really nice sculpt, I'm sure your paint treatment will bring it to life.
Looking at the face painted 3 years ago, one can really see the evolution of your painting style to where it is today. The seeds of your current style really show in this face. It's cool to look at older pieces and see one's progression.

Following closely

Colin

PS- Good thing the next meeting is at your place 'cause you have way to much on the go to shlep all the wips to another location;) CJS
