Why am I being logged out?

I am trying to respond to a topic currently running in General Discussions "Let's Discuss Historical Fiction". I have tried 3 times to post a second reply to this thread and each time I click on I'm logged out. Even when I log in again it will not redirect me back to this thread. I haven't tried to post on any other threads so don't know if it's a general problem or just specifically this thread.

Which Operating System and web browser are you using ?

Do you have javascript disabled or any blocking software ?

Gordy I'm a complete ignoramous on computerspeek , so I'll put down all I know
1/ I have windows vista home premium
2/ aol ISP and browser
3/ Norton 360 security [recently installed new version
4/ I don't think I have javascript
