This is the beginning of a 1:12 European wild boar Sus scrofa sculpt Miguel Borja Bersabe Is doing for me. A very talented wildlife artist.

I see these a lot in France,we even get them snuffling around outside the house at night which drives the dogs crazy. If you walk in the mountain forest above the house there is evidence everywhere from where they have turned the soil over for food, their numerous footprints, to mudslides and wallows!

I think he’s captured the head perfectly here.

Notice he is leaning to the left as if in a running turn to make him a bit more dynamic and fit in with a diorama I have planned for the future!

Boar look a bit woolly in the winter which will make it a bit more exciting to paint.

Amazing! Please, please tell us about the diorama! A medieval hunting scene? I think it should be a medieval hunting scene.

I’m going to have the horse sculpted separately in a dynamic pose which will be available without tack in a limited edition.

Many years ago a did a lot of work studying among other things Roman military equipment which involved measuring and drawing things from various museum’s backrooms, and going through lots and lots of journals. So I thought it might me fun to pick finds from one place and date and do an accurate mounted figure.

The other idea is to use the same horse in a medieval scene, but I have not decided on the period.

If anybody buys the boar and wants to to do the diorama I’ll offer a free base replacement.

If I get 30 orders I’ll arrange a 1:12 middle aged nudist!!!
