I have started an experiment in painting leathers with Vallejo's. There is still a lot of blending to do, and some highlights to finish. Any tips would be welcome.

Very nice. Wolf along with Hornet are the top of the line 1/35th for me.

Wolf head or swap out with Hornet? What's it gonna be?

Thanks guys. I'm going for the Hornet head, although I haven't decided exactly which one. I've always been a fan of Hornet and Wolf, one of the best British exports ever.

Martin, your shadows have gon as far as they can (I can see straight black) but maybe you'd like to take your highlights a little further. Have you applied any clear coat over the jacket? Just a thought. I do by the way like what youv'e done so far. Black can be a little difficult and so far youv'e done a nice job. Show us more!

Jim I am planning the highlights and blending tonight. There is no clear coat yet, I may add some to the raised areas, as I am trying to go for the worn in look.
