What scale? Dolls house stuff might work Brian and I believe model rail stuff for platforms etc would do

Brian try here they specialise in RC Boats and Planes so I'd imagine someone produces something for decks.

Easy to make in putty too - just roll some out flat, then scribe boards in when hardened. You can paint any grain as necessary.

Like Colin has already mentioned wooden coffee sticks , I can't afford Starbucks coffee so I just pop in Mac :yuck::yuck: and get the cheapest thing I can and then load up with lots of wooden coffee sticks . They work a treat (y).

Hello Brian, If you can't find resin boards, try popsickle sticks. You can find them at art and craft stores. They can be stained or scribed. They look great with 1/16 or higher scale figures. Hope this helps. Regards, SG

Ah, Stan Catchpole... wish I'd never loaned out my copy of the Mil Mod special that collected all the tips together into a single mag :(

Matchboxes sadly aren't made out of thin wood any more, leastways none that I've seen. I think the grain would tend to be a bit overscale anyway.
