John, He looks great....from his head to his moccisins......is there going to be another to go with him?

John, You could do a "white Indian" with him. There were several whites, be it a captive or those that lived amongst them that took to their way of life. You could leave his hair long or with a scalplock but paint the hair blond or red. Another thing would be to put a much older or younger warrior with him, or one with a bow. I have a reference with several examples of early bows and quivers. Whatever you decide to do the figure looks great. (y) ~Gary

John,
This is a really nice looking Indian. I am looking forward to seeing him in the flesh. I have a question how do you get the Duro rolled out so thin and smooth? When I try I always seem to have little clumps of the yellow. It is like it has not mixed or something.

Joe

Joe, I clip off a portion with scissors, and then clip out the part down the center where the yellow and blue meet. This gets rid of that little bit that has already started to cure. The Duro I use for belts and such has already set. I roll my leftovers out flat or make it into snakes and use it later.

Looks really good John. I like the folds, they're very convincing.

John,

Thanks for the info. Did you see Alan and Marion's A Matter in Time? I saw several picture's on the HZ site. I wasn't able to post any of them here.

Joe

Joe, Yes I did. I saw it on their homepage. I was impressed enough with the work in progress, but painted . Alan has a really unusual method of sculpting. He is also especially good at figuring out anatomy and proportions.
