Hi All,
I lot of you my know my club mate from the Darlington Military Modelling Society - Terry Neesham. Both Roger and I have been trying for ages to get him to join this forum, I know he is a side line viewer.
For those of you who do not know Terry I thought I would share a couple of his painted pieces I photographed at the Northern Model Show last Sunday.
Terry is one of the nicest blokes you are ever likely to meet in the modelling world and is a fantastic artist, so please enjoy his two painted EK Castings pieces of Louis XIV and Russian Officer.

Yes they are 54mm:eek:
cheers

He's a terrible person:p;) ......... his only redeeming quality is that he shares my love of all things Christmas (y)
One of the finest examples of detailed pattern painting is a 54mm Chinese General for which Terry received a well deserved Gold at Euro some years ago.
Hopefully someone might have a photo they can post.
Cheers

You mean that thing with the carefully placed "transfers" - we nicknamed him Terry the Transfer in our club:whistle:. He's terrible Del and will not share his sources for the transfers. Now come on Terry you have to join now to defend yourself:D. You know I'm going to send you this link.

Terry loves Napoleonic's and flamboyant characters like the above. I'm so glad that my period only has the odd brass button or two, I could not cope with this lot. Again 54mm.
cheers

I have a file of Terry's work but I'll ask him if it is ok to post the pictures he is a true friend and a very modest man. In my opinion one of if not the best detail painter in the UK. Like most good figure modellers he has a unique and instantly recognisable painting style. He promised me if l didn't post this he would let me have some of his transfers.lol

Thank you to Terry for agreeing the pictures being posted by Keith

Thanks for sharing these pieces Keith

Nap ...jaw dropped !!

Wow.....Join or not,..that is some flat out excellent painting. But what really puts this into perspective for me is that it's 54mm. Super work.

P.S...…...as a side note; most pics are sideways on my computer but o.k. on my I pad. Maybe just me....." I alright; it's my left side that's messed up"
