The weather was absolutely fantastic, even thought i was somewhere in the Caribbean due to the high temperature and humidity of air.:D
Great weekend!(y)

That thought struck me as I was going through the pics Marc-perhaps it is the bias of the photographer. I haven't spoken to anyone who actually went so it is difficult to tell!

Hi!

I came home from this great event yesterday and I must say that it was a great show. My opinion was that there was fifty fifty between classic figures and fantasy. Maybe the standard of the fantasyfigures may be better than the classic figures if you compare the whole competition.

I took some pictures from the show also wich you could see on my blogpage. I am sorry that there aren´t too many and apoligise for the quality of them.

Hello Marcus, Thanks for the pictures and congratulations on the awards, the standard is always so high and any sort of award is hard earned, so well done. I think the cost of Hotels and other expenses put off many British Modellers, I have only seen two mentioned among the medals. Hopefully the next event will be somewhere less expensive, Bill Horan mentioned Palermo as a possibility in a recorded interview so it looks as though it will be this side of the pond again...................Keith

Hallå Mackan!

Nice to see you dropping in here as well. Nice pictures, I liked the Marine. Did you enter anything in the contest and where there other Swedes there too?

Cheers

Hi Alex, A very interesting review which confirms everything I suspected and justifies my decision, and it seems many others, not to attend. I hope that the Organising Committee come back to earth and appreciate that this hobby caters for all levels of society, including Juniors. It needs to be affordable and offer good prospects for the trade. Switzerland with its Trading laws was always going to be a no-go area for the trade. When I go to a show I want to be able to get hold of the items that are not so easy to buy on line, bases, scenic materials, and the ability to take a figure out of the box before buying. I can look at world class models on line any day of the week by visiting forums, so they are not the only reason for going to an Expo.
Perhaps the committee will reflect on this event and in the future select a venue which offers better opportunities for all participants in the hobby, rather than just a nice place for a long weekend(y)
