Marc. Whether it's from Glasgow or Edinburgh to any of the three airports it's still approx €300 travel costs, same for accommodation. So €600 before food drink etc. If the Konigshof had been available that might have swung it.
But I don't think I can be bothered with travelling back and forward to the venue.
It's a hell of a lot for a weekend.

Understand Del.
that's why i always wonder that there are people who going to almost every show, and every WE.
Two years ago the WE in Chicago would cost me more then € 2500,- for flight and staying.
So, I think this is gonna be my first and last WE.
Anyway, I hope to see some of you fellows.

Marc

Understand where you are coming from Del but Expo's are only every four years and the chances are that at Eindhoven will bring in European Suppliers we no longer see or have never seen in the UK. With Euro either finished or a shadow of its former self Eindhoven will I think be the future destination. If only every other year or so.

Looking at the hotels for Eindhoven now that they are actually taking bookings the quality is far superior to the seafront at Folkestone....LOL

Hope to see you there,

Keith

Surely you jest Sir! :LOL::ROFLMAO:

Keith I think that W.E. is held every 3 years. But given that they seem to alternate between Europe and N. America, to all intents and purposes that probably means every 6 years for most guys (for a combination of both financial and logistical reasons).

I haven't yet completely ruled out going but I won't be devastated if it doesn't happen. There's always SMC at the same venue which of course is an annual event, so less of a "now or never" dilemma with that. I certainly wouldn't mind hitting Eindhoven at some point, and I sadly have to agree with your sentiments about Euro. Eindhoven definitely seems to be in the ascendancy, while Euro's star is most definitely on the wane and has been for some years now.

Hi all,

try AirB&B.
Me and my 3 friends swiftly approached that solution after seeing that the NH was full as all the near by hotels leaving only the most expensive with rooms available.

We managed to find a nice place.

Cheers,
Paulo
