Lot's of new stuff on their home page. You need to go through there to see everything. The list includes directions (both driving and from the airport) and the much anticipated vendor list. I can already see that I need to talk to the wife about "raising" my allowance!

Details can be found on the World Expo Homepage

Enjoy,
Jim Patrick

By the way, I see that the cab fare from the airport to the hotel is about $25. My flight is scheduled to arrive in Boston at 10:14 AM from Pittsburg. Anyone else want to go in on a cab? One or two others at max I suppose.

Jim,
The blue line of the T goes directly from the airport to downtown, hooking up to the red line - if memory serves - about 2 stops from the hotel. A lot cheaper than taking the cab.

Pete, thanks. I guess I was trying to take the fastest way. Besides, $50 ($25 both ways) can be put to better use at the many vendors present. Thanks ;)

By all means take the T from the airport. It is the newest station in the city and cost $2.50 one way. The line is the BLUE line. Take it 4 stops to the GREEN line which I think is Govenment Center, Take the GREEN Line 2 stops to ARLINGTON station, which is a short walk to the Hotel. My guess is 20 minutes max from Airport T to hotel.

The T is a great way to get around Boston...a little old and rickety by some standards but like Fenway Park ,an agless gem.

Hope this helps and put some money in the hands of the vendors vs the Mayor

Walt, I have a question for you. Can the figures be removed after the awards are given? Or must they remain through all of Sunday?

Thanks.

Not sure.perhaps someone on the Awards (Judging) staff can answer this. As for my self, I need to be on the road back to Western Mass for another event NLT Sunday 1 pm, so my display is down and out of there by then or it won't be going up.

Good question John. I need to be at the airport by Noon. So I will have to take down my display Sunday AM.

EXPO VENDOR PARKING BREAKTHROUGH

I tried to email this out to the Expo distribution list but it appeared to fail as the number of names exceeded my mail server limit. I will post this here...realize may be late for many vendors to read, but pass on to any who you know of
=====================
I am thrilled to announce after months of gumshoe work to include secret phonecalls and much concern I may end up as a permanent fixture in the "Big Dig" cement work, worked a deal with the owners of the parking lot behind the Castle for vendor unloading. We now have 5 spaces reserved for a rotation of vendors to park/ unload/ leave/ rotate in next vendor from approx 11 am to 530 pm on Thursday. Reference attached photos of the rear of castle, these spaces, marked in yellow, are right outside the rear entrance. Granted the 5 steps are a bit steep for wheeled hand trucks, although great for hand carried lead and resin treasures, but also easy side walk access to the front of building and main entrance. I am willing to man these spots and manage the movement of vendors in and out Thursday afternoon as the rest of the Western Mass contingent manages the vendor unload in front of the building.

The cost....Grand total of $75 for all five spots from morning till the evening rate kicks in at 530, PLUS 4 free tickets for a couple suits and their grandsons to go to the show on Saturday. I trust I will some how get re embersed (is there such a word) the $75 with a receipt, and can get the 4 tickets from the show committee to pass on. Been an adventure, but hopefully will make vendor unloading a lot less complicated Thursday afternoon. Please forward this to any vendor you have contact with.

See you all soon Walt Damon
