The family and I seriously considered making a mini-Euro trip of it, however with a pending previously planned vacation it is out of reach this time around.
On a side note, I've made numerous attempts to contact the World Expo staff, it's US coordinators and even one of the MFCA coordinators to have planetFigure throw some weight behind promoting WE 2011 and MFCA, sadly none are working with me on this.

Yes, Switzerland are a very expensive country.
Mark try to search in Lausanne, its 30 minutes to Montreaux by train and are less expensive.

I would really like to go but I cant tell.
I was laid off for over a year and have only worked since September. And at the time speaking its only scheduled til March. However theres a big chance that I will be employed but I must have the economy sorted out before going on this trip.
Perhaps I do a cheap version and just fly there and stay over night to see the show and the trade stands?

The direction of the house
excist that i go. So a b&b will go from € 40 - 60 for a night. Retour Flying to Lausanne will cost € 195,- what is cheaper then a cardrive for 1700 km (v.v.) at gas cost's and tickets for roads in France.

I wish to be there but expend about 3000$ in travel ticket and hotel, food, etc...is almost impossible for me =/
