WW1 Museum

I'm in a bit of a WW1 phase right now, as I'm painting Andreas WW1 German bust (a departure for me, I dont usually paint anything more modern that Napoleonics). So, I made a trip to the US national WW1 museum in Kansas City, MO. Let me tell you, it was an afternoon WELL spent (I feel silly that I live so close and hadn't gone sooner!) Anyway, I've attached a few photos of some uniforms (the real deal, not replicas) that I thought some of you may find helpful, or at least interesting. The first is French, the rest are German (the last three are pre-war/early war.)

Some more photos I took during my last visit...it's worth the trip to KC! And if you're saying to yourself there's nothing else to do in Kansas City, have you ever tried KC barbecue?

That's a pretty terrific museum. I went a couple of summers ago. Too much to digest in one visit. I'll go again in the near future.
