That's a really nice sculpt though I am genuinely intrigued - perhaps it is based upon a photo? - why a sniper would be working with a dog where the need to remain utterly still and silent was paramount. With a dog in tow whilst working in no mans land, what could possibly go wrong.....?

Plus, its another German randomly standing holding a stick grenade. You know guys, you can leave their hand empty.
Or maybe have them doing something really left-field and unusual. Like pointing off into the far distance

I think the figure looks good but maybe holding something else would be a change - some sacking for concealment, ammunition or maybe just nothing as Jason suggests.
I'm not sure about the dog though as it doesn't relate to the job of sniping. Unless of course there's some proof contrary to this theory.

Will this be produced for the public? Agree on the dog, just not needed. And as well on the grenade - but guessing with a little surgery, that can be dealt with. Obviously I do like the sculpt - well done.

Agree to the previous notions about some aspects that were done several times before but I think that the figure is versatile and is easy to adapt or convert. Very common configurations of Stormtroopers with shield and club or entrenching tool for close combat / Mauser 08 etc. are still rare or were never done in miniature. What I like most about this figure is the excellent face.
Nice to see that you are running your own line of figures Kaz! How much is the price of this new release?

I agree with the comments about the dog, on the other hand I think that the pair of them both with gas masks gives the whole vignette a bit of a nightmarish dystopian feel.
Sniper + dog plausibility questions notwithstanding, paint these up in a suitably dark & funereal pallet and I reckon it could all look rather effective.
Cracking sculpt by Kaz as well.

I knew everybody would say so about "dog with sniper?" or "Why siniper holding a grenade?" , etc.
This is just my "imagination" based on my taste of "what looks cool as figures" and "no one knows 'everything' happened at battlefield except actually taken in photos or written articles.
We are too much 'chained' to historical accuracy, sometimes it shut the doors of artistic imagination.
Some people may say "This is not a historical figure, it's a fantasy figure", but that's OK for me.
For those who care about historical accuracy, here's my answer. These are the possibilities from basic idea.
To me an important thing is to create something new, to make our hobby more interesting.

This is just my "imagination" based on my taste of "what looks cool as figures" and "no one knows 'everything' happened at battlefield except actually taken in photos or written articles.

I really love this figure and really hope for a commercial release (I would highly prefer 1/16 or 1/9 instead of odd 1/12 but why not)
Btw I like your way of thinking. This figure looks cool, badass with his scoped k98, handgrenade and dog !
