Can anyone point me to some decent books regarding British and German uniforms from the Great War?

Cheers

Jon

I use Tommys War a great reference of the BEF in WW1
Further: Grande Guerre it is French but also amazing pictures of the original equipement from all the battleforces.

Not the slightest idea about what the BeF Belgian Franc is doing here !

And about Grande Guerre .... you enter that on google and got : Environ 1.450.000 résultats (0,19 secondes) ,
Please dear friend, can you be a bit more specific ? :)

Father of all books :) "Army Uniforms of World War I" by notorious illustrator Andrew Mollo:

All time classic, getting already fourty years old. Jon, still in present times, plates such as magnificent are scarce :)

Another great book:

World War I infantry in Color. Everyone dressed in period real garment. Fantastic compilation in such a tiny and inexpensive book. 25 years old and already a classic on its own.

And finally a book to all the family: An illustrated Encyclopedia of Uniforms of World War I.

Thanks for the links and the book suggestions guys, bit different to my usual WW2 and modern subjects, so am/was a bit lost with references.

Again thanks for the help, much appreciated.
