I have been working on the Michael Roberts 120mm Marine Sniper and decided to paint his uniform in the camoflauge pattern. I have figured out the the camo colors, but am getting stuck on base coat. It appears to be a khaki drill...close to the Humbrol #72 (but a little lighter). Am I in the ball park...or sitting in parking lot?

Thanks in advance,

Raymond

Raymond, IMHO that is just fine. As with all uniforms they came from different manufacturers with different interpretations of the government specs for color, so there is a certain range of color for all of those found on the "frogskins" allowing the painter to well, as you said, be in the ball park.
