Hi y'all!
Here is my latest, a Dragon plastic figure slighly modified to match an Alpine Miniatures German Tanker that will have the same treatment. I've also replaced the head with an Alpine one. Contrary to my latest work (see "water chore"), the original head from this set was quite poor, hence...
An Italeri M4A1 wreck from the bottom of the "model bin stash", a few sand bags out of Magic Sculpt, and here it is.
I chose to refrain from painting a morning beard, in order to leave the juvenile look of the head (to my opinion, most Alpine head have the look of very Young men, whom they were as a matter of fact, but war made these guys look older).
Hope you like it!

Very nice paint job .... but his PFC chevrons are the wrong way round. They should be like this:

Very nice realisation (I like wedgie vignettes) & a great paint job. One minor point though (& this is constructive) is you haven't drilled out the end of M4A1's gun barrel.
I like the construction & positioning of the sandbags - Patton wouldn't have been very impressed, but I am!

You'll have to blame Dragon for this mistake!
A bit me as well, as I should have checked my references...

As for the barrel not being holed, since it is not its end showing...
Thanks for your comments!

Sorry, I realised after I’d posted it’s a 76mm barrel. My bad.

Nice job, but I'd really go back and fix the chevrons, repaint the leggings tan and give the butt of the .45 a bit of black paint.

Keep up the good work!

You're darn right on the 045! Completly forgot to paint its butt!
As for the leggings, some were light green weren't there?
And the surgery on the chevrons would require too many hasards that would damage the setting and the figure as well. I'm afraid they will remain as such... I promise I won't make the same mistake on the German version! :)
DAMN YOU DRAGON!!!!

Despite the minor things mentioned above, I really like this. This is what modelling is about: throwing together and adapting various parts to make your own unique composition. Very well done! Congrats.
