The leather cowl is coated with a satin finish, which gives it a very subtle sheen that you can actually only see under really "hard" light.
Then I continued with the skin areas (face and hands) and gently refined them. In addition, the glasses were made new and the moustache was carved away - the "original" is no longer wearing either ...:
Pants and boots are still waiting to be painted - but because I can no longer touch little Martin, I will next turn to the base.
That's a fairly impressive transformation of junk, I am now starting to understand the reason for making a figure of yourself, its a decoy for if the day comes (and I am sure it wont) when you and your beloved ever have a wee tiff and she heads off in temper to the cabinet filled with the precious collection of figures that she will target the figure of yourself and leave the rest alone, only joking .
Best Wishes
TERRY
The Martin miniature is probably the easiest research you ever needed to do for a project...
Congratulations Martin and Tanja!
All the best for the new journey!
So - the boots still! At the end a little gloss varnish on it, let's pretend at least little Martin is out and about with polished boots (the big one is rarely that ...)
And a plate ("I am yours") - done!
I think it turned out to be a really nice Christmas present for my loved one ...
