I think I feel a new passion developing! I've just ordered Elite miniatures "Norman Knight, Antioch 1268" & I've also been looking at some of the Pegaso 54mm knights. I think I could easily become hooked!! :)
Can anyone recommend a good book or books on medieval heraldry?
My best mate did try to explain some of the "rules" to me (he's a member of a medieval re-enactment society) - tinctures, metals, no tinctures on tinctures & so on - but to be frank he confused the hell out of me!! (we had been drinking though, so that might have had something to do with my bewilderment! )

Thanks for any help you may give

The Qprey line of books are very good. the go into detail on the nationality of the figure, the period, being a crusadre, templar, etc...

Thanks Gino,

I wasn't sure if the Osprey titles would still be in print, as I remember getting one from my local library when I was about 10 to help with a school project!!! :)
Maybe i'd better go join up again tomorrow!
Cheers
