Guy
A Fixture
Each year I try to add to my own personal collection of painted figures, a figure or bust painted by another artist. Last year after the Tulsa show I approached Steve Scott, of Tulsa Oklahoma, and ask if he would paint me a figure or bust. I told him there was no hurry as I realized he had commission work to do in his studio as well.
I had 2 of the S&S Mountain Man busts in my gray army and took one along with a base to Tulsa on my next trip up. After agreeing on the terms Steve worked on the Mountain Man over the next year.
This past Sunday after the Annual Tulsa Show I had my annual "Open House" here in Oklahoma City for those who may want to stop by on their way home from the Tulsa Show and the bust was delivered to me. I was litterly blown away at what I unpacked when it arrived by relay with Dennis Miller. As you will see below it was a "Jaw-dropper"
Knowing I was working at the time on Ademola 22's Ole Guy, Steve appropriately named the bust "Young Guy"
