Good evening everybody!

Today I would like to show You my third 1/10th bust. This time it's Young Miniatures product.
To be honest that's not my third bust, but, let's say, 1.5 :D I've started him in June ( painted face, oak leaf pattern, helmet and shadow/highlights sketch on parka) before "MG42 Tripod Carrier", but finished this month.
I wanted his helmet to be a little bit damaged and parka yellowed. I think soldier's equipment shouldn't look like new stuff.
Hope You like him and I'm waiting for Your critique and comments!

That's a nicely done bust. I like it a lot. I will agree with Ron though regarding the base!!!

Thank You very much for all replies guys! I'm glad You like it.

would like to see it on a darkish bit of wood which would make the whole thing pop (y) as the shiny base is detracting from the splendid paint job.

I just wanted to make something more interesting than simple piece of dark wood, but You aren't first person who said it's too shiny and distracts attention from bust. Now I see it wasn't the best idea. Should remember about "Less is more" ;)

It is not a criticism of the model or the base in itself but more of throwing the bust out and making it jump at you so to speak , dark bases really throw out the paint job of whites and reds and if the figure is a bit somber then a lighter wood does the same thing , but thats just my take on it ;)
At the end of the day it is what the modeller is happy with :)
I will reiterate it is a fine paint job (y)
