Hi Folks,

I would like to thank everyone for their very Kind and Generous comments.

Sang Eon has made a truly remarkable job of this piece, he has made it live and breath! He has captured the character perfectly. He has magic in his paint brush!!!

I would also like say what a great company Young Miniatures are to work with Young B Song is a true gent. Not to mention a very talented sculptor.

Cheers again

Carl.

Mike, we have to keep trying my old mate, we can only survive on crumbs for so long Lol. I'm remarkably fat for someone who only eats crumbs He He !!!!

I could not choose a more inappropiate moment to announce our own mayan native kit, considering this superb Sioux Indian! An excellent work indeed!

My sincere congratulations!

Beautiful work, Carl! I hope we'll see more subject matter of natives (Native Americans, Africans, etc.) from you in the future!

Thankyou Guille it's always nice to have a good response with a piece, I'm sure there is room in the market for your excellent Mayan bust. There can never be enough good pieces.

Steven, I'm pleased you like the piece, you can be sure there will be more Native subjects, if not by my hand, then other equally and better sculptors than I.

Thanks

Carl

Carl, I think this is one of the finest bust ever sculpted. There is one thing about the bust I have a question on. That is the technique for braiding the hair. If you are braiding a ponytail would the braids not point in a downward direction and not up? Please do not take this as criticism, I'm just curious that's all. ~Gary

Hi Gary,

Firstly thank you for the compliment.

Secondly regarding the hair braids, No offence taken my friend!!

This is a question I have asked myself about a million times, I have seen it hang/point in both directions both up and down. It appears that it depends how the braid is started and I guess whether you are left or right handed, also I assume which direction you look at the braid, back or front.

I have attached a couple of images to hopefully explain.

Carl

Carl, I'm left handed myself so I completely understand how that in itself lends itself to different results. Thanks. ~Gary
