I agree with ernest. It looks unnatural. but great technique anyway
Absolutely correct Taesung. Admittedly an earlier sculpt from Young for MIG as you mentioned, before Young miniatures was around. He has come a long was since, but still a good piece. Someone with better history skills than I will have to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this represents a post WWII figure, possibly Afganistan? Not sure. It can still be found, and shouldn't take too much effort to convert to WWII era if one would want.

Yeah, important consideration!T50 said:Let's remember: it's just a boxart. The bust comes unpainted!
Einion, If you look on Jon Smith's site http://www.jonsmith-modellbau.com/ he has a 120mm figure based on the same photograph.
It's a spade on his back.

Wasn't that Russian Tanker bust from MIG some years ago
sculpted by Young B Song?

Chris; I keep doing the same thing. There is just something about this bust that is mesmerizing, the sculpt paint combo is unmatched in any other piece I have ever seen. I understand the comments about the death color of the skin but I think this adds to the mystery of the piece. Freaking Bravo Mr. Young and Mr. Lee... another stunner.

The blurb under the photos on the Jon Smith site answered most of my question (didn't recall seeing a Mauser that looked quite like that at the muzzle) but there still seems to be too little barrel showing.

Ordered mine today from the Hussar, hopefully have it next week.
Good for you!
Do you have any luck with the complete turret edition for Young Panzercrew?
