I just love this piece! The leather helmet is rendered so well. Hiroyuki Ishii is THE MAN! Well done Young Miniatures!

This is bound to happen. It just took too long. Nontheless, what a handsomely rewarded wait this. And I would just like to say that I am very, very glad that it was Mr Ishii who rendered this subject.

It is predictable that the collar will be cast separately, while the extent to which it is broken down is a big question mark. One piece? Two? Hope it doesnt get too tricky...

Mr Ishii's face sculpt style is somehow consistent, but varies sufficiently from one to another to ensure individuality. His approach of rendering skin tone under cold weather is where the signiture is the most visible. One destined to attract a thousand copycats.

Excellent bust!!! This will go great with the german and american tanker busts put out by young. BTW I love the expression on this guys face.

Exellent sculpting, exellent painting and to top it off exellent subject, for me one of the best busts i have seen in a while.

Take it easy Young, I can't follow you my friend, I am painting now "the black devil" and the "u-boat crew", another excellent bust to paint for sure!!!
