Hi,
A while ago I started this bust from Young Miniatures,it has been quite a while but is now finished !

Painted in oils and enamels.

Critique/comments most welcome.

All images had to be taken with the flash on,as daylight alters the colour to much,but it is the closest I think to what im seeing ...if a little bit richer.

you going to have to get a better camera ive seen this beauty in the flesh and the photos do not do this piece justice very very nice Carl a true world class artist no doubt. keep it up and the workmanship :lol: see you soon cheers nick:D

Carl cracking result mate, the white wash helmet is very well rendered, really like everything about this bust, top job mate (y)

Matt - Thanks for your comments,I use oilpaint which really helps me as I cannot work out acrylics ! painting in basic high and lowlights wet on wet and then sharpening it up and addin more contrast wet on dry... I do all camo in enamel and use thinned oils to shade and highlight and thats my basic way of painting.If you need anything specific just send me an e mail its cool Matt,and im sure many of the other artists here would be glad to help also.

Sam,i did wonder a while ago what happened to this post,now its finished you have done a fantastic job,i love the weathered helmet and the painting of the camo pattern,excellent work mate (y)
