it is really a good sculpture an uniqe and very nice subject.

Lovely piece of work overall, but far too deep for my taste. Once a bust gets near the beltline at the front it nearly always looks wrong to my eyes and things projecting below the cutoff point (especially some elements and not others) is something I don't care for at all.

Can't agree with you there Einion, IMHO as Carl has composed the chest area and arms in a very effective way, I think looking at the subject if the bust ended higher up the accoutrements and effect would have been lost and the bust rendered mediocre. Your point in general is very valid with busts as I have seen some with the arms cut off at the elbow with 1 arm shorter than the other, I remember a case of a mideaval knight that just didn't look right at all, just so that the whole of the chest heraldry could be included by the sculptor -sufficed to say it didn't look good.
