Great work so far Tommi, the eyes are fantastic as are the flesh tones. The only thing I think you could improve on is the hair and beard ,with maybe a few darker and lighter tones.

Cheers David

Hi David

Many thanks for your comments. I will be working on the beard and hair this week. its only at the first stages at the moment. I am thinking of putting in lighter and darker sections to give it a very old look. Progress photos at the weekend all going well.

Cheers

Managed to get some more work done on this over the weekend fitting it in between other things. Some more wet on dry highlights on the flesh, the beard is now coming along as well as the fur and the cloak. The hat is near completion. Quite pleased with the progress on this one so far as it’s only my second attempt at a bust.
Cheers

VERY nice work here Tommi! I have to say, the fur and hair on this piece are sculpted to perfection, I need to get my hands on one!

Amazing work so far.

Get mine in and out of the box, but i don't have the guts to start it. It's the same with the Landsknecht.
I think i cannot do it justice.

So i will look again and again to your work Tommi.

Hi Tommi,

Only your second bust! don't worry Tommi I'm sure you will improve with time.......Just joking mate!!

Great painting as always, lovely flesh work and the Tartan looks terrific...not the easiest of colours either...another great piece for the tables at Darlington.

May thanks for your comments; it’s nice to get some feedback from you experienced guys. Hopefully my next posting will be near completion, hoping to get this done in time for Sword and Lance in a few weeks time. Got a few more hours work in with this last night so should be done by next week all going well.

Cheers

Hello Tommi,

amazing work, specialy the eyes(y)

Hi Maurizio

I used the article published by Dave Maddox in Military Modeling Magazine last month for my guide to painting the eyes, it was very useful and hopefully with a bit more time and a few more busts to paint I can improve on this...

Cheers
Tommi

Many thanks Marcel, it has been very enjoyable, should post up more pictures this weekend, might even get it finished.
