Dear fellow painters,

I have been around the forum for years now but have never showed any of my figures.

I am a big fan of post apocaliptic series, moovies, books and comic (Jericho, The Walkind Dead, DMZ, World War Z, Falling Skies, I am a legend). For me these are not just brainless slasher stuff but a freak mirror in which we can see how our society could fall apart, how people can change, how they behave for survival.

When the Zombie Girl hit the shelfes I knew it is just a matter of time for me get it. Okay, it took almost a year but here I am now:

I am not using the original base but will create my own.
The figure was quite easy to build. It was a weird feeling building and painting the figure. The following piece form the series TWD was on my mind all the time.

The figure is based on this scene with some changes on the clothing.

Here it is how it looked after priming.

Now I am here. Some touches and she will receive the final varnish layer. I plan to use semi gloss for the cloth and matt for the other parts.

I've always thought this was a cool figure and you have done an excellent job on her. I like the same stuff you do, I hope more figures are released in the series.

Hi Tom!
very impressive piece and painting ...
Really very impressive theme!
Truth as a kit of detail that is?

Thank you guys!

A real beauty this figure is, speaking about the sculpting. I've found more and more tiny details hiding during the painting process.
I plan to place here on a small (5*5 cm) base, just outside a military base, used as a refugee camp, which got overrun. So, she is just wandering off after she has been renanimated. I will use a piece of metal net (made of my sugar-castor) to create the fence of the military base with a plate saying something like "restricted military area".

I will keep pictures posted!

At the risk of repeating myself, I've got that figure to paint as well

Well, I love The Walking Dead too, I liked the kit, I couldn't resist.

Great paint job, I've had a good look at your work so that when I get to mine in 2047 I know what to do. Please post the completed version, that's a great idea for the base and I'm looking forward to the update.

Hi guys,

I managed to finish the base. Everything is scracth except the grass, the cans and the wooden base.
I tried to improve the lights of the pictures in photoshop beacuse they were way too dark. Hope they show the outcome right.
I took new pictures, please see in the new post.

Excellent results!:) I have my copy of her on the way and can't wait to paint it. The military base idea is great. The whole scene fits perfectly! Very well done!(y)

Wow... uber-creepy:eek:. I too love TWD... She kinda reminds me of the girl coming out of the barn at the end of last season. Great terrain work, the fence, signage etc, outstanding... really sets off the figure perfectly.

Little kid monsters are always the scariest
