Hi folks

Starting prepping this from TFB ...Officer RWF in the AWI , will look good alongside the Hessian I've recently finished which you can see here

https://www.planetfigure.com/thread...von-lossberg-1776-from-tfb-miniatures.507052/

Here's the original from the release announcement IMG_4693.JPG

Using these and a lot of contact with the reenactment group RWFIA , I decided to do a few alterations

IMG_4687.JPG IMG_4684.JPG IMG_4681.JPG IMG_4683.JPG IMG_4685.JPG IMG_4676.JPG IMG_4690.JPG

I removed the sculpted plate and added a oval version ....

IMG_4673.JPG IMG_4675.JPG

I removed the cords from rear and replaced with lead wire ......lots of maybes on wether the cords were worn ....so I removed them again and detailed up the back grenade badge a bit more

IMG_4688.JPG

I added cords for the gorget IMG_4689.JPG

Once the new oval plate was fully dry ........added the POW feathers .......still to add the motto across once dry

......in a moment of insanity I added the feathers to the epaulettes after reworking no the edging

...I then added the 23 on the belt plate

Waiting for the details to dry

Will probably add a hint of a sash as well

Stay tuned all

Happy benchtime

Hi Nap.
I like the corrections you have made. Its a pity that tfb miniatures didn't correct the errors when advised. They stated that they had contacted Offo so the corrections could be made. Obviously didn't listen.

Hi all been in touch with Offo lucky he was just about to post it. He will do the bits that have been identified. Once again thank you for the info. We do listen and if we can put things right we will.
He will be available very soon thanks again

Hi Steve

Seen that picture they are from RFIA ......it's difficult to find accurate rear views ...

Would welcome your thoughts and suggestions

Be good to see the actual ref used by Offo to sculpt the rear details

I may be wrong, Nap, but I just dont imagine the back to look so sharp - if its fur, then the back would more resemble the enactor's versions, IMO..?

Hi Kev. Looking good on this one. I was well on with the painting so didn't do any alterations. Nearly finished him though (y). Mike

Cheers Mike ...look forward to seeing your version ...can't wait to get paint on mine ....once the rear sorted !

Found this but no rear views !

Cheers Steve so it's not the cords etc but the shaping ...too pointed ...needs to be fuller ?

Found this similar cap from the 97th

Hi Nap.
Nice work on the additions, looks good. Pity it wasn't corrected when they had the chance. But if they did you wouldn't have been able to have a little play.
Lets be honest you do like to put your own little stamp on things:).
Look forward to see some paint on it.

Hi Mike

Thank you and of course your right ..it's good to play ...I like to put my stamp on things sometimes...and enjoy finding out about things ..it's what the hobby is about for me

Hi there

Thanks for looking in ...just finished building up the headwear ...time to let it fully go off ...then it's the primer and then basecoating

Looking forward to painting this especially the face which I think looks a little arrogant and then there's the scarlet tunic
