My latest project just completed: an American 8th Air Force heavy bomber pilot in 1/10 scale. It's a conversion of a Young Miniatures' bust of a US fighter pilot; I replaced the kit head with a superb 3D printed head of "Mav" sculpted by Sid Naique and printed by Mark Brooks of Scale Collectables, scratchbuilding the garrison cap and headset myself. Painting is in my usual oils and acrylics:

Absolutely fabulous, in all respects: idea, conversion, painting. Thanks for showing your SBS and the final result.

Thanks everyone for all the very kind comments; it was a fun project and was made even better with the addition of that incredible 3D printed head. Special thanks to Mark Brooks of Scale Collectables for custom sizing and printing it for me; a fraught task since he and his printer are in the UK and I and the resin torso were in Canada. By happy coincidence, Mark used a head from another Young Miniatures bust to calibrate the correct scale to fit my Young Miniatures figure perfectly.

Thanks again for following the project!
